Meriden exhibits variability from year to year in the five year period analyzed here; nonetheless, each year Meriden greatly exceeds the statewide average for proportion of resident births to teen mothers. Despite the dips in 2003 and 2005 in proportion of births to teen mothers, the linear trend in Meriden is one that consistently exceeds the statewide average. Meriden is clearly a community in need of teen pregnancy prevention services.
