The Girls Project
Funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, this catalog of films and videos celebrating young women's lives around the world provides access to viewpoints rarely offered in standard textbooks and addresses the need for alternative, more complex portrayals of girls in the media. The Web site includes comprehensive information about the award-winning titles in the collection, and teaching modules designed to facilitate dialogue and provide educators useful activities for their curriculum and outreach programs.

A program sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control, this site deals with health challenges faced by young people today. Includes a link to the Youth Risk Behaviors Surveillance System (YRBS) which tracks health risk behaviors among American youth.

Website for Casey Foundation focuses on needs of disadvantaged children in America. Site features interactive KIDSCOUNT database and current census data.

Alan Guttmacher Institute
Focuses on sexual and reproductive health research, policy analysis and public education.
